A History in Making
Mosely Street plays an important part in the story of Manchester. From its beginnings in the late 1700’s it became the architectural and intellectual centre attracting both the greatest architects and the most brilliant minds and produced iconic buildings usch as The Portico Library, our next door neighbour.
As the Industrial Revolution progressed Mosely Street changed to accomodate warehousing for the growing textile trade. This is where our story begins and where we take our name. For many years 53-55 Mosely Street was home to innovative Calico printing companies harnessing the latest printing technologies and design talents to export our craft all over the world.
